Justin Swadling, freelance saxophonist and composer, graduated from The London College of Music in 2007 joining the world of jazz and other popular music scenes. Whilst at music college he was awarded the "Jazz Player of the Year" award 2006 and won the "LCM woodwind competition" in 2007.
Since leaving college Justin has performed an impressive list of gig fixtures all over London and the UK playing many notable clubs, concert halls and festivals including; Shepherds Bush Empire, The South Bank, IndigO2, Ealing Jazz Festival, Isle of Wight Festival & Glastonbury.
International engagements have included festivals and functions across France, Germany, Spain and The Middle East.
As a composer, Justin boasts influences from a diverse and well listened ear. Most prevalent are his jazz compositions and lyrics which are now regularly performed by himself and other artists.
His compositions and productions have even started to find themselves on to independents films being shown at major screen festivals.
Justin’s last major composition was "A Night in Central" which saw him collaborating with saxophonists Vasilis Xenopoulos and Pete Cook to create the ultimate soundtrack for London.
Current composition and performance projects include the new "Modus" trio which will début early 2011 and "The Lucy Morris Band" which is already gigging with a hope to feature in this summer's jazz festivals.
